Manitou Weather Station Fishing Lodge is very unique as they have combined luxurious accommodations with the remote adventure of a fly-in. They are located on Lower Manitou Lake, which is just stuffed with monster size Muskie. They also have excellent fishing for Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass and huge Lake Trout. Camp Manitou is located on an island at the southern end of Lower Manitou Lake and in a highly productive part of the lake, which is called the Manitou Straight. Lower Manitou Lake is one of the top Muskie lakes in the world with great numbers as well as great sizes. Guests consistently catch Muskie over 50 inches with a few that have been over 55 inches. Muskie are more common in the 35 to 45-inch range. Lower Manitou Lake is also stuffed with Monster orthern Pike, Lake Trout, Smallmouth Bass and some weedy bays with Largemouth Bass. There are several portage and fly-in lakes a short distance off Lower Manitou Lake that are stuffed with Walleye.
